Greetings, neighbors!
Effective on Monday, May 18, I have resigned from the role of executive director of Brier Helping Brier. My plan is to remain with the organization in an advisory role for a few more weeks in support of my successor, Ann Polin.
I have had the substantial honor of leading this fine organization since it's founding in late 2020. In the waning months of that first year, we raised $500 by selling "Bananas for Brier" t-shirts and sweatshirts. That initial fundraiser allowed us to help our first Brier household that holiday season.

Since that time, we've grown into a staple of the Brier community, showing up at SeaScare, the Holiday Tree Lighting, and more. And as our presence has grown, so too has the trust of the Brier community, highlighted by Brier Helping Brier raising more than $30,000 in 2025.
We've come a long way in 5 and a half years.
During my time as executive director, I'd have the privilege of meeting a great many of my fellow Brierites. The warmth and gratitude that's been expressed to me about our work and our role in the community has been more than enough motivation when things have gotten difficult. It's been an honor to serve this city.
I am proud of the organization I gave five years of my life to. These fellow volunteers I've worked with have given so much of their hearts, talents and time to make our community better. If you run into them at an event or around town, please thank them. They have all earned our respect and gratitude.
As I step away and prepare for my next great adventure, I offer you my humble thanks for letting me be part of something amazing, and for having faith in me and the team. I wish the community of Brier all the best. Thank you.
